I've been very passionate about horses since I was very little. I started riding when I was 7 and haven't stopped yet. I thought I would use my blog as a way of raising money for a place that I really believe in. I would love to raise $500 for Gentle Giants, a draft horse rescue. They save draft horses from the slaughterhouse. The money raised will go to helping rehabilitate these horses.

Below is a widget to donate...that's my horse!

Thanks so much! Let's get to $500!

Happy Friday!! While I'm super excited that it's the weekend, midterms are next week. I'm excited to get through them and onto February for fashion week, also known as one of my favorite weeks of the year. Even if you're not there, you can watch the shows on style.com! So many bloggers go and it's such a fun experience. I can't wait to go shopping to choose some outfits!

Anyway, here is my outfit for today...I paired one of my favorites jackets with a Brandy Melville dress and of course my loved Pashli tote.

Tote - 3.1 Phillip Lim | | Jacket, Socks - Forever 21 | | Dress - Brandy Melville | | Shoes - Nordstrom Rack

While NYFW is creeping closer and closer (AHH can't wait!!), I wanted to do a blog post featuring a designer who will be showcasing their designs on the runway this February. Mark & Estel is a design-duo I've been eyeing recently. I stumbled upon the brand and honestly, fell in love.

So, let's back up. Let me give you the details. Mark and Estel started their brand in Los Angeles, 2005. Not only are their designs wearable for the everyday girl, it's all made in the USA. I love to support a USA made brand. They combined their love for rock with a cool Malibu style.

In September, down the runway strode flowing dresses, flowing capes, and draped designs.

Some of my favorite pieces selling right now:

There's just something refreshing about a clean cut blazer. While the younger crowd tend to shy away from the mature look that blazers bring, I can't help but love to wear them.

With a neutral palette, the blazer adds just the perfect touch of "maturity" and simplicity. It pulls the whole outfit together. Next time you go out shopping, I strongly suggest a blazer.

Tomorrow I go back to school *cries*

We are going out to dinner tonight and this is the look I'm planning to wear. I may or may not be going to the dinner, because I waited until the last possible second to do all my homework. AKA an essay, reading a book, online math work, 4 pages of history notes, a packet for Entrepreneurship class...you get the picture (it's not a pretty one). It's typical of me to wait until the last day to do all my work, but what can I say? It sucks having to do homework over break. I mean, it's called break, right?

This look is a simple outfit I put together...the top is from Nasty Gal (my love), the skirt was a steal from H&M ($5, plus tax), and the shoes are a new addition from the sale section at DSW (Jessica Simpson)...only $30 (thanks daddy for the gift card!).

I love black on black, but you probably already know that. The shoes are just a fun touch.

I love this time of year for shopping, because the best deals are going around on all my favorite brands.

Those Stuart Weitzman 5050's I've been eyeing (for the whole season) are $200 off!!

Am I the only one who feels like 2014 flew by?! It's crazy how one year ago, I was a freshman in high school and had no idea of all of the amazing opportunities that would come my way.

At the end of every year and into the start of the next year, I like to reflect on all of the positive outcomes of the previous 365 days...

1. Going to NYFW (dream. come. true.)
2. Getting my first sponsor (She Inside)
3. Starting an online shop (recently!!)
4. Getting featured on We Heart It blog
5. Getting my blog redesigned (by this amazing lady!)
6. Getting featured on Seventeen Magazine website
& more!

Here's today outfit.
